Letter from the Director The Academic Program Resident Responsibilities and Benefits Additional Opportunities Applying

Since 1997 the Florida State University has operated Bryan Hall as a learning community available to first-year students. This project originated as a joint venture between the College of Arts and Sciences and University Housing. Its primary goal is the creation of an environment that will assist new students, regardless of intended major, to realize the full potential of enrollment in a research university. Toward that end, we provide opportunities for regular faculty-student interaction and involve student residents in research- and inquiry-based learning.

Steering Committee - "The hardest working committee at Florida State."
The Steering Committee consists of a cross-section of faculty members, staff, and students--former Bryan residents, whose perspectives richly contribute to the deliberations. For more information on this committee, please click here.

"Living and attending class at Bryan Hall was possibly the best way to adjust to college life sucessfully. It was easier to meet new people and form relationships with the professors in the intimately sized classes, and the walk to the upstairs classrooms wasn't such a bad deal either."
-- Nick Santa Croce, former Bryan resident and currently an undergraduate Film major
